Vincent Stokes

During the first lockdown, I began a series of abstract paintings under the working title of "The Temple cannot contain the Spirit". They are an invitation to the viewer to consider and discover what might lie beyond what is presented on the picture surface. Most of these works are small scale, inviting an intimate approach.
I have also continued to work on some new collages of derelict cinemas and theatres.

From Marlborough, drive down the A4 towards Clatford. Just before the Clatford turn you will see 'Elm Tree Park' on your right. The studio is the first building you see as you enter: Overton Framing Studio (above the MPFC Gym).
