'The negative is the score' said Ansel Adams, 'the print the performance.' This would suggest the original capture must come from sound foundations but the outcome can be as varied as the photographer allows …or dares. Challenging preconceptions about what photography is, or should be, Susie always seeks to stretch boundaries. This year she is incorporating mediums such as encaustic and paint into her practice as well as exploring ways in which the work is presented to the viewer.
