Gill Reeve

Drawing, and Life Drawing in particular, is at the heart of my work. However, as working away from home has not been possible for some time my use of my sketch books, not only as a receptical for ideas and inspiration but for basic drawing practice, has become more important. And with sculpture, not being able to work on my large stone carvings in the usual way has enabled me to concentrate on working in a completely new way and to "go small". Something I have meant to do for a long time.

And so, all that is needed is a good supply of soapstone, a selection of files and other tools and a comfortable seat in the fresh air. My own cottage garden of course.

Lots to see and to talk about, both inside and out.
